Terms of Service
Effective June 2, 2026
1. Who we are
SponsorClub lets fans sponsor specific items in a creator’s lifestyle (“slots”) — coffee, gym, nails, trips, and so on — either as a recurring monthly Stripe subscription or a one-time payment. We are not a marketplace, an investment platform, or a wishlist service.
By creating an account or sponsoring a creator, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use SponsorClub, whether as a creator or sponsor. Creators must also satisfy Stripe’s Know-Your-Customer requirements before going live.
3. Accounts
3.1 Creator accounts
Creators sign up with an email and password and connect a Stripe Connect Express account before their public page goes live. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3.2 Sponsors
Sponsors don’t need a SponsorClub account. We collect your email, payment method, and a public display name through Stripe’s hosted checkout. Your subscription is managed via Stripe’s Billing Portal — the link arrives in your receipt email.
4. The service
4.1 For creators
Once your Stripe onboarding is complete, your page at sponsorclub.me/[handle] goes live. Fans can sponsor any open slot you list. We may suspend your page if Stripe restricts your account or you violate these Terms.
4.2 For sponsors
When you sponsor a recurring slot you start a monthly subscription; when you fund a one-time slot you pay a single charge. Either way, your chosen display name appears publicly on the creator’s page as “Sponsored by [name].” Recurring sponsorships continue until you cancel, the creator’s account is suspended, or Stripe ends the subscription due to payment failure. One-time sponsorships do not renew.
5. Payments and fees
5.1 Charges
Sponsorship prices are set by creators. Recurring slots are charged monthly via Stripe until cancellation; one-time slots are charged a single time at checkout. By sponsoring a slot, you authorize SponsorClub and Stripe to charge your payment method accordingly.
5.2 Revenue split
SponsorClub retains 20% of each sponsorship payment as an application fee. The remaining 80% is transferred to the creator’s connected Stripe account, subject to Stripe’s payout schedule. Stripe’s own processing fees are deducted before the split.
5.3 Taxes
Sponsors are responsible for any applicable sales tax. Creators are responsible for income taxes on payouts received and for any tax forms (e.g. Form 1099-K) required by Stripe or applicable authorities.
5.4 No refunds
We do not issue refunds for completed billing periods or for one-time payments. You can cancel a recurring subscription anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 30 days.
6. Cancellation
6.1 By the sponsor
Cancel a recurring sponsorship at any time using the “Manage subscription” link in your receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the slot becomes available immediately for other sponsors. One-time sponsorships are a completed payment and can’t be canceled.
6.2 By the creator
A creator may not remove a recurring slot while it has an active sponsor. To end an active recurring sponsorship, the sponsor must cancel; the creator may then remove or replace the slot. A one-time slot may be retired by the creator after it’s funded — the sponsor’s completed payment is unaffected.
6.3 By us
We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, that Stripe restricts or disables, or that we reasonably suspect of fraud, abuse, or illegal activity.
7. Content and conduct
7.1 Creator content
You retain ownership of your display name, handle, bio, avatar, and slot descriptions. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display this content on your public page and elsewhere in the service.
7.2 Sponsor display names
The display name you choose at checkout is publicly visible on the creator’s page. We screen display names for slurs, profanity, and impersonation and may replace flagged inputs with “Anonymous.” We don’t guarantee that all inappropriate names are caught and may remove a display name at our discretion after the fact.
7.3 Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use SponsorClub for fraud, money laundering, or illegal activity
- Misrepresent yourself or impersonate others
- Defame, harass, threaten, or doxx other users
- Bypass or attempt to bypass moderation, payment, or security
- Use slots to evade Stripe’s prohibited-business categories
- Sell, transfer, or assign your account or your sponsorship
7.4 Creators are independent
Creators are independent users, not our employees, agents, or partners. We don’t endorse, vet, or guarantee any creator’s content, claims, or behavior.
8. Intellectual property
The SponsorClub brand, software, and design are our property. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the service.
9. Disclaimers
SponsorClub is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees about creator earnings, the continued availability of the service, the conduct or content of any creator or sponsor, or Stripe’s ability to process payments without interruption.
Sponsorships are not investments, securities, or loans. You are paying for public credit on a creator’s page — you are not entitled to any return, equity, or specific deliverable.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SponsorClub is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify SponsorClub against any claims arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration in [CITY, STATE], except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
